About us

Numerous well-known Belgian film-, animation film- and television-makers, radio- and documentary-makers, writers, stage actors and stage directors over the last half-century have one thing in common: they all studied at the same school, the RITCS.

Entrance to the campus

RITCS, as a School of Arts, is part of the Erasmushogeschool Brussel (EhB) alongside the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. RITCS has two campuses in the heart of Brussels. The Dansaert Campus, located on the vibrant Dansaertstraat, is home to students of Audiovisual Arts. The Bottelarij Campus, just a stone's throw from the canal, serves as the creative hotspot for students of Drama and Theatre Technology. As the 'School of Arts' of the Erasmushogeschool Brussel, RITCS wholeheartedly embraces the diversity and multilingualism of the capital city.

Founded in 1962 as a small school, RITCS has since grown into an internationally renowned institution. Currently, around 700 students are enrolled in diploma, professional or academically oriented bachelor’s, master’s, or educational programmes in Audiovisual or Dramatic Arts, all supported by a team of approximately 150 teachers and staff members, providing artistic, theoretical, and technical guidance.
