Maarten Francq works with DAAN on new music video

Artificial intelligence is still hard to imagine away from contemporary making. Maarten Francq was therefore appointed by DAAN to design the video with a post-ironic late-capitalist message. Francq is a researcher and lecturer in research skills and technology at the RITCS and will also soon start a PhD on AI in live entertainment. Using generative prompts, Francq set about designing a world after the nonsensical suburbia plutocracy that DAAN describes in ‘WORK’.
Maarten Francq is a guest speaker for FUTURE NARRATIVES, an event series of RITCS with a focus on artistic research. On 16 October, he comes to talk about artificial intelligence and its application to a production process. The full interview with Francq on ‘WORK’ can be viewed at De Standaard.
