at a glance bachelor master Shortened program subjects and admission test

Do you have a knack for finding good stories? Do you envision the movie when you read a book? Do you walk around with many ideas you would like to see made?

During your training you will learn how to deal with people (crew and cast) and resources (artistic and technical). You will have the opportunity to produce different types of projects, such as films, fiction series, animation films, television programs or documentaries. Moreover, you can try out various positions on the sets of your fellow students, ranging from Line Producer to Production Manager or Location Manager. In this process, a sense of organization and diplomacy is very important. You will gain insight into scenarios, research, concept development, legal and logistical aspects, as well as planning and financing. Along the way, you will also learn about the national and international possibilities of financing, marketing and distribution.

During your master year, you will have the opportunity to bring all this knowledge together and, as a producer, you will independently lead a project from the development phase to post-production and distribution.

All classes are in Dutch.

In the third year, budgeting, financing, and marketing are covered, and you will produce your first short film under the guidance of a lecturer

Shortened program

Have you already obtained a diploma (bachelor or master), but are you passionate about the film world and now want to make the switch? Then you can follow an abridged bachelor track within the program 'Production'.

For this shortened trajectory you will have to take one of the entrance exams for the Production program. If you pass, we will look together how we can put together an individual one-year track for you, adapted to your specific previous education(s). In any case, you will receive an intensive course in the basics of producing an audiovisual project: idea development, organization, budgeting and marketing, as well as assignments that turn theory into practice. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Production, it is also possible to advance to the master's degree.
